What does a stairlift cost?

The cost of a stairlift depends on the staircase situation. The width, steepness and shape of the staircase affect the cost. The standard stairlift is the "straight stairlift". The straight stairlift has a straight rail that can only be installed on a straight staircase. The price for a straight stairlift starts from €2,500. Depending on personal preferences such as color, features and extras, the cost can be as high as €5,500. For a staircase situation with a curve, the costs start from €5,000 and can go up to €10,000. A stairlift with curve(s) is custom made, so prices are higher.

What does a used stairlift cost?

The prices for a new stairlift may deter you from making a purchase. In this case, renting a stairlift or purchasing a used stairlift may be a solution. A used stairlift is customized to your stairs just like a new stairlift. An installer comes to measure the stairs, then the stairlift is custom made on site. Our suppliers install the stairlift in 1 day. The cost of a used stairlift varies. A straight stairlift starts at €1,650 and a stairlift with a curve starts at €2,500.

What does it cost to rent a stairlift?

Renting a stairlift can be a solution to still get a stairlift at a low cost. Our suppliers offer options for renting stairlifts for different types of staircases. Renting a stairlift with a curve costs between €120 and €180 monthly. You can rent a straight stairlift from as little as €80 to €100 per month. In addition to the rental cost, there will be additional costs for customizing the rails.

Financing options for a stairlift

Purchasing a stairlift is generally a big expense and is not immediately affordable for everyone. In this case, you can take advantage of several financing options for a stairlift. For example, the amount can be borrowed from the bank, paid off in installments with the stairlift supplier, or other options. These other options are different for each supplier. We recommend that you always ask about this.

How are the costs structured?

  • Advice by phone or advice at home
  • 3D Modeling of the stairlift
  • Fully customizing the stairlift
  • Delivery and installation at home throughout the United Kingdom
  • A full demonstration
  • Telephone service 24/7
